Coronavirus and Modular River Survey Training
As you can imagine, we have been closely monitoring the escalation of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) globally and here in the UK. With the health, safety, and wellbeing of all in mind, we have made the difficult but important decision to suspend all Modular River Survey training courses for the time being. This includes River Condition Assessment training as well as MoRPh Citizen Science training.
If you are booked onto one of our courses, you should have received an email letting you know whether your course has been postponed or cancelled. We will continue to monitor official advice on the virus and announce new dates for postponsed courses as soon as possible.
In the meantime, we are taking several measures to help everyone waiting for training:
First, we are investigating options for delivering portions of the training online to help teams who are working from home. We will have more updates on this for you soon.
Second, we are operating a service to connect teams with an urgent need for River Condition Assessments to trained surveyors who can deliver the work for you. If your need is pressing, please get in touch via our contact form and let us know.
Third, we are working on arrangements for a set of face-to-face training courses to take place once the rate of infection in the UK starts to drop. Check our web site or subscribe to our email newsletter to be kept up to date.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience the suspension causes for you or your team. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please drop us a note via email or our contact form.
